REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

Giridham Art and Culture Foundation (“Foundation”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a registered non-profit organization engaged in cultural, educational, social, and charitable initiatives.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs all payments made towards membership, donations, programs, and resource contributions.


1. Membership Fees

  1. The prescribed membership fee (currently ₹1,000 or as updated) is non-refundable and non-transferable.

  2. Once the membership application is submitted and payment is processed, no refund requests shall be entertained under any circumstances.

  3. Rejection or non-approval of membership applications shall also not entitle the applicant to a refund, as the fee covers administrative and processing costs.

  4. Membership fees cannot be adjusted against future programs, donations, or services.


2. Donations (Monetary Contributions)

Donations made to the Foundation are voluntary charitable contributions.

Accordingly:

  • All donations are non-refundable.

  • Donations once processed cannot be cancelled or reversed.

  • Donors are requested to verify payment details before confirming transactions.


Exception – Duplicate / Erroneous Transactions

Refunds may be considered only in the following cases:

  • Duplicate payment made for the same purpose

  • Excess amount paid due to technical error

  • Transaction processed but not received in Foundation account

Such requests must be raised within 7 days of the transaction.

The Foundation reserves the right to approve or reject such refund requests after verification.


3. Event / Training / Program Fees

(If applicable to workshops, cultural programs, training sessions)

  1. Registration cancellations made 7 days prior to the event may be considered for partial refund (after deducting administrative charges).

  2. No refund shall be provided for cancellations made within 7 days of the event.

  3. Non-attendance shall not qualify for refunds.

  4. If the Foundation cancels an event, participants may be offered:

    • Full refund, OR

    • Rescheduling, OR

    • Credit adjustment

Decision rests solely with the Foundation.


4. Resource / In-Kind Contributions

  1. Physical/material donations once contributed cannot be returned or refunded.

  2. Shipping or courier expenses borne by donors are non-reimbursable.

  3. The Foundation is not liable to compensate donors for the value of contributed goods.


5. Payment Gateway Charges

In cases where refunds are approved (exceptional cases only):

  • Payment gateway charges

  • Bank processing fees

  • Transaction taxes

may be deducted from the refundable amount.


6. Refund Processing Timeline

If a refund is approved:

  • Processing time: 7–15 working days

  • Refund mode: Same as original payment mode (where feasible)

  • Bank delays are beyond Foundation control


7. Cancellation by the Foundation

The Foundation reserves the right to cancel:

  • Memberships (for misconduct)

  • Event registrations

  • Volunteer enrollments

However, such cancellation shall not obligate the Foundation to issue refunds unless deemed appropriate by management.


8. Fraudulent / Unauthorized Transactions

If any fraudulent payment is suspected:

  • The transaction may be held for investigation

  • Membership/services may be suspended

  • Legal action may be initiated if required


9. Policy Acceptance

By making any payment to Giridham Art and Culture Foundation, the payer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
